We are expanding our development team and looking for a Mid-Level Backend Software Developer who thrives in solving complex challenges, building scalable systems, and contributing to next-generation insurance and financial technology platforms. --- Role Overview As a Backend Developer at Tenacitics, you'll play a vital role in designing and implementing high-performance backend systems using Laravel (PHP), Python, and PostgreSQL. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams--business analysts, front-end engineers, and product managers--to build intelligent, secure, and data-driven platforms that serve the evolving needs of our enterprise clients. --- Key Responsibilities Backend Engineering: Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side logic using Laravel (PHP) and Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or Django). Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven services supporting multi-tenant insurance applications. Database Development: Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and stored procedures. Optimize database performance and ensure data consistency, reliability, and security. Integration & Automation: Integrate with third-party APIs, CRMs, rating engines, and core insurance systems. Automate recurring workflows to support underwriting, policy issuance, and claims processes. Architecture & Optimization: Contribute to backend architectural decisions with scalability and maintainability in mind. Collaborate with DevOps for smooth deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with front-end and QA teams in Agile sprints. Maintain high-quality documentation, coding standards, and Git discipline. --- Required Skills & Experience 3-6 years of backend development experience in Laravel (PHP) and Python. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (query optimization, indexing, schema design). Proven experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integrations. Hands-on familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD workflows. Good understanding of software design patterns, OOP principles, and security best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to performance and scalability. --- Preferred Qualifications Exposure to insurance or fintech platforms (policy admin, claims, billing, CRM). Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines or data-driven automation is a plus. Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
