The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE, Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup.



The Infoscale team is an agile team, which has a function related to SCM,where builds for various Infoscale products needs to be delivered continuously to multiple scrum teams. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark in a fast-paced and growing software engineering organization.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibility -

• Engineer configures and maintains the specific build environment(s) including VCS,VM,VxFS,etc wherever applicable for Unix/Windows environments.
• Analyzes the build environment and develops detail change suggestions for enhancements and new solutions.
• Ensures that all required environment documentation exists and is updated (configuration item information), published and understood by all users related to Build infrastructure
• Performs builds of new versions of software developed and maintained by InfoScale teams.
• Develop Knowledge on the Infoscale products from DevOps point of view
• Provide support to various functions of other Engineering SCM teams in Infoscale
• Provide solutions from Build Engineering point of view for the adoption of new OS platforms that would be supported for the various Infoscale products.

• Skillset:
• Strong problem solving skills and strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals including algorithms and data structures
• . Hands on experience in Continuous Delivery to production/live environments

• Expertise in developing Jenkins pipeline as Code
• In depth knowledge of scripting languages (preferably Python)
• In depth knowledge of container and container orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Working knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Vagrant)
• Working knowledge of maintain Logging infrastructure (ELK stack)
• Expertise in developing utility scripts (Python, Shell)
• Ability to design/develop/maintain CICD pipelines and infrastructure
• Expertise with build automation, security and performance monitoring tools
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure
• Familiarity with microservice architecture
• Exposure to Agile processes
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
