Summary As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of one or more modules, subsystems, or services for Ultrasound Digital. In addition, you will focus on activities to improve software quality and development methodologies. In this role, you will be part of a digital group focusing on cloud application development that derives value from machine and clinical data coming from our medical devices. Ultrasound Digital is a brand new and exciting group within the Ultrasound business division of GE Healthcare, that works on cutting edge digital technologies like ML-Machine Learning, IoT-Internet Of Things Cloud infrastructure and Device Software.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with scrums teams and Integration teams to map business requirements to domain requirements and design qualities such as reliability, security, reusability, testability etc.
• Analyze, design and develop a high quality design of the modules/User stories considering Object Oriented Programming and SOLID design principles.
• Participate in all stages of the agile development cycle; coordinate with scrum teams, DevOps, testers, integration, external application teams, etc.
• Design of software service or application/module in alignment with architecture vision.
• Work with architects and system designer to identify, plan, and mitigate technology risks in a timely manner.
• Build knowledge repository; Continuously improve quality and define,set proesses, standards, guidelines, checklists.

Education Qualification :

• Bachelor's degree (master preferred) in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development.

Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in software Web application architecture, design and development using Java, J2EE.
• 3+ years of exp in Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Experience in Microservices technologies, SQL & NoSQL database technologies, Data Serialization and transfer technologies, Event-Driven architecture and message queuing technologies, security frameworks and standards.
• Experience with modern software development tools for Continuous Integration including Jenkins, Git/Gitlab, Jira, JFrog Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, and Ansible.
• Experience with Automated unit test (i.e., JUnit, Mocking frameworks), Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behaviour-driven development (BDD) (i.e., Cucumber).

Preferred skills:

• Experience in developing applications as fullstack engineer with one or more front-end frameworks along with Java script (i.e., Vue.js, AngularJS, jQuery, ReactJS), and on or more back-end frameworks (i.e., Express/Node.js, Spring Boot) will be an added value.
• Understanding of Data Analytics and Visualization Tools (i.e., Tableau, Spotfire). Data modeling techniques, containerization and container orchestration technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes), Big data technologies (i.e., Databricks, Snowflakes).
• Experience in health care domain and healthcare protocols and standards.
• 2+ years of experience in Amazon Web Services.
