PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Design and develop software (Algorithm/Library/custom focused tool) for RF/microwave electrical test systems used in the manufacturing of multi-gigabit cable assemblies based on standards such as Ethernet, InfiniBand, Fiber Channel, PCIe, SAS, SATA, etc. Analyze test data using statistical modeling tools and perform root cause analysis of rejected parts.

Support / maintenance of existing test solutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.

Develop software Architecture / Algorithm for new test method, Libraries and customized tools.

2.

Develop, modify and maintain ownership of software modules used for product testing and qualification across the product development and manufacturing.

3.

Develop software in Python to extend and refine the capabilities of existing test systems across multiple manufacturing regions. Must coordinate software development activities with various teams, including product development, manufacturing, marketing, quality, etc

4.

Perform electrical testing of multi-gigabit cable assemblies, analyze data, identify critical to quality aspects of product design and manufacturing process, perform root cause / corrective action analysis and write reports to summarize findings.

5.

Conduct software reviews, analyze and resolve failure modes and document results.

6.

Create product and test system documentation, specifications and work instructions.

7.

Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers in the software development process.

8.

Drive new improvement ideas .

9.

Help to make strong team through mentorship.

SCOPE:

Works individually and coordinates team efforts globally to complete projects with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION:

REQUIRED:

B.E./B.Tech Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Sc Engineering

PREFERRED:

M.E./M.Tech Degree in Electrical or Electronics/ Computer Sc Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

5 - 7 years of experience with a strong exposure of software development

PREFERRED:

Experience on Electrical concept specific to Signal Integrity

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:

Proven working experience in Python development.

Ability to work on new concept.

Ability to analyse electrical test data based on signal integrity.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard techniques for software verification and validation.

Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely with global teams.

High proficiency using analytical tools and code review tool.

PREFERRED:

Knowledge on CI/CD.

Experience with RF/microwave test and measurement equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, 4-port network analyzers, and bit error rate testers.

Knowledge of RF/microwave transmission line theory including s-parameters, Fourier transformers, characteristic impedance, eye diagrams, time-domain analysis, cross talk, bit error rate testing, jitter analysis, etc.

Lean/six sigma yellow or green belt training. Understanding and application of control charts, process capability, gage R&R, and other lean/six sigma tools.
