About the Role:
Gartner is looking for passionate and motivated Senior Software Engineers who are excited to foray into new technologies and help build / maintain data driven components for realizing business needs. This role is in Digital Platform Technology (DPT) team focused on Personalization of content and feeds. The personalization Engineering team is a high velocity agile team responsible for developing and maintaining components crucial to customer-facing channels, data science teams, and reporting & analysis. These components include but are not limited to Spark jobs, REST APIs, AI/ML model training & inference, MLOps / LLMOps / devops pipelines, data transformation & quality pipelines, data lake & data catalogs, data streams etc.
What you will do:
Lead cross-functional collaboration
with engineering teams to swiftly triage and resolve complex operational bottlenecks.
Accelerate onboarding
through proactive self-learning, rapidly integrating into the team to contribute high-value code with minimal oversight.
Execute high-precision task estimation
and delivery, ensuring all deployments meet rigorous quality standards and industry best practices.
Diagnose and remediate systemic operational inefficiencies
to improve long-term system stability and performance.
Empower and elevate team members
through active technical mentorship and continuous knowledge sharing.
Spearhead the research and development
of Proof of Concepts (POCs) for cutting-edge technologies and emerging frameworks.
Champion end-to-end task ownership
, taking full accountability for successful delivery from initial development through to production.
Partner directly with business stakeholders
to solve critical problems and translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
Demonstrate executive-level communication
and ruthless prioritization to successfully manage competing project demands.

What you will need:
4-7 years of post-college experience in API development with Data Science or AI Engineering.
Must-have:
Demonstrated experience in API development.
Experience in Python and related API / DS frameworks
Experience with data science / AI Engineering.
Skills to transform data, prepare it for analysis, and analyze it - including structured and unstructured data
Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
Experience with tools such as Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS EMR
Experience with Kanban or Agile Scrum development
Experience with collaboration tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
Experience with Data modeling and Database schema / table design
Nice to have:
Experience working with data platforms - building and maintaining ETL flows and data stores for ML and reporting applications.
Experience on Sagemaker / Sagemaker pipelines / Sagemaker Notebooks
Experience with performance tuning APIs and batch jobs.
Experience with DevOps frameworks and tools like terraform.
Experience / fair understanding of web applications development frameworks and tools
Experience with Streaming and related tools like Kafka or Kinesis
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required
Excellent communication skills.
Quick learner and self-motivated
Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
Owns success - Takes responsibility for the successful delivery of the solutions.
Strong desire to improve upon their skills in tools and technologies
