At Amazon, we're revolutionizing document generation through Print Hub, a platform that will unify Amazon's diverse document generation systems. This platform will operate at unprecedented scale, processing billions of invoices while supporting both mission-critical and standard use cases. We're building Print Hub as a federated platform that maintains rigorous compliance and controllership standards while implementing effective governance mechanisms. Our vision includes leveraging Generative AI to dramatically reduce business use case onboarding time from weeks to days, significantly accelerating feature delivery and time-to-market. Such a platform requires architecture to be maintainable, scalable and extensible while providing data consistency, privacy and complete auditability of the digital footprint used to generate the documents.
We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead the onboarding team that is critical for developing capabilities that support 1.5 B documents per month across 100+ partner team on the document generation platform. In this role, you will lead the definition, and shepherd the development, of new features as well as important optimizations to the service. This role is a good fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is technical, who can work with multiple tech stakeholders to drive consensus towards long term tech product strategy.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and scale multiple engineering teams across complex, interdependent systems
Drive innovation through AI, identifying and solving operational problems that unlock value to the customer
Partner with senior leadership across Product, UX, and Engineering to align on strategic priorities and resource allocation
Establish engineering excellence standards, operational metrics, and continuous improvement practices across teams
Present technical strategy and progress to VP-level stakeholders with clarity and executive presence
A day in the life
Review and provide strategic guidance on major architectural decisions and system design proposals
Mentor engineering managers and senior engineers on technical leadership and career development
Communicate engineering progress and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Connect with tech partners to identify process/operational/tooling gap to identify opportunities to self-serve
Partner with peers to negotiate resource allocation and coordinate large-scale initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of engineering experience
5+ years of engineering team management experience
10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
