This Job role is with a Social Impact/NGO organisation. Based out of New Delhi.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead full-cycle product development, translating complex needs into scalable backend systems.
Mentor engineers, promoting code quality, technical excellence and agile practices.
Align engineering outcomes with civic impact through cross-functional collaboration.
Enhance reliability via reviews, refactoring, automation and strong security practices.
Shape platform strategy by adopting emerging technologies.
Ensure scalable, compliant systems for national-level services and data integrations.
Drive DevOps excellence with CI/CD, cloud-native deployments and observability.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
Designed and deployed production-grade APIs, auth flows and secure data transactions.
Strong in software architecture, design patterns and high-throughput system optimisation.
Skilled in ORM frameworks, TDD (pytest), performance testing (JMeter) and code quality (SonarQube).
Proficient in Git workflows, Docker and cloud platforms (AWS).
Experience integrating RESTful APIs with modern JS frameworks (ReactJS preferred).
Good foundation in AI/ML, LLMs and multi-agent systems.
Strong grasp of design principles, interface guidelines, algorithms and data structures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in building and scaling digital platforms aimed at social impact
Demonstrated success in planning, cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder
engagement at national or state levels (with deep expertise in Python, Django, FastAPI and
relational/non-relational databases)
Experience mentoring high-performing technical teams while fostering inclusive,
values-aligned growth environments
