AMD together we advance_ SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER THE ROLE: AMD is looking for a Product Engineer with good knowledge in RTL languages, simulation tools and verification methodology to help boost customer productivity across current Xilinx platforms and the industry\'s first adaptive compute acceleration platform Versal ACAP (7nm). Versal devices combine processors, programmable logic (FPGA) and new AI engines to deliver powerful heterogeneous acceleration for any application. THE PERSON: The Product Engineer position is in the Interactive Design Tools and FPGA compilation applications team, located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, for an experienced and self-motivated engineer to focus on simulation tools specification, early validation, new feature and methodology training, documentation and key customer support. The successful candidate will work closely with the Xilinx software R&D team and IP design teams from several Business Units . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with defining specifications and propose creative solutions to solve existing customer issues Adopt proper tool methodology, and illustrate best practices via examples, tutorials and demos Tracking, prioritizing, and assigning reported tool issues to the appropriate engineering teams Participating in cross functional meeting with other engineering, marketing and quality teams to ensure issues are resolved efficiently Authoring high quality documentation tuned to the needs of the reader for their areas of expertise Staying current with and proposing the internal use of industry approaches, algorithms, and practices PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Customer Awareness: Working knowledge of verification flows and simulation requirements Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of Verilog, System Verilog, UVM/OVM. VHDL-2008 is a plus Industry Knowledge: Good hands-on knowledge of standard simulators such as Mentor-Siemens Questa, Cadence Xcelium or Synopsys VCS. Knowledge of Vivado flows and Vivado simulator is a plus Problem Solving: Great debugging skills Technical Communication: Can simplify and communicate complex subjects, by articulating options, tradeoffs, and clarifying potential impacts ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
