DESCRIPTION
The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Tech team, part of Finance Automation, is the software development team for GREF. This team develops services, products, and tools to enable Amazon's corporate real estate team to build and operate the company's global facilities worldwide, while offering a host of other services that allow Amazonians to come to the office and be productive during their workday.
Our mission is to create technology that simplifies the processes Amazon employs to manage its corporate real estate, and facilitates employee access to amenities offered at their workplace. Our teams build services and products that support various GREF domains.

We're seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to drive innovation in our employee digital experience initiatives. You'll be instrumental in developing modern technology solutions that empower Amazon employees to maximize their productivity and workplace efficiency.
In this role, you'll lead the development of new tenants on Amazon A to Z, our employee-facing platform, while collaborating closely with People Experience and Technology (PXT) teams. You'll leverage AI technologies to transform workplace experiences and create scalable solutions that can support Amazon's massive global workforce.
Key job responsibilities
As a senior engineer, you will:
Design and develop scalable solutions focused on enhancing employee digital dexterity and workflow automation
Lead the architecture and implementation of intuitive digital tools that streamline daily employee operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify pain points and create innovative solutions
Integrate AI capabilities to enhance employee digital experiences
Design solutions that can scale to support Amazon's global employee base
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software development
Drive technical decisions while considering security, performance, and maintainability
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
