Zappos' Digital Customer Experience team is looking for a Sr Software Development Engineer (Architect) that is motivated to develop distributed complex technologies focusing on our partners/vendors to power business success. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the cloud commerce space, and has developed scalable distributed systems. Successful candidate will be strong tech architect with ability to understand business requirements with PM and translate it to the scalable tech solutions enhancing customer experience. You will constantly work closely with our development, product and business teams (and more) to develop highly complex technical solutions that help the business more effectively and efficiently engage customers and increase sales volume.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

----------------------------

5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
