THE ROLE :
We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivative design engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of AMD\'s analog/mixed signal IP design team responsible for the design and development of next generation IOs, high speed memory (LPDDR5, DDR5, gDDR6, HBM2/HBM3, \xe2\x80\xa6) and chip-to-chip Gbps proprietary PHY IP solutions.a leading team to drive and improve AMD\'s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.


THE PERSON:
You have a passion for modern, complex IO/PHY architecture, analog mixed signal design, and characterisation in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analog Mixed Signal macro characterisation

• Macro timing closure at IP top level and necessary constraints development.
• Maintain or improve current methodology and flows using automation and optimization techniques.
• Deliver high quality timing and power models in a time sensitive IP development environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially cross geographic interaction with overseas teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong fundamentals and knowledge of mixed signal circuit architecture and design techniques for receiver/transmitter and PLL/DLL/clocking
• Hands on experience with HSPICE, Spectre and other spice circuit simulators
• 3-5yrs in using AMS macro characterisation tools like SiliconSmart, LiberateAMS and NanoTime.

• Deep understanding of PVT corner variation impact on timing and power models
• Experience working with layout designers in understanding design/technology/layout constraints.
• Proficient in AMS design flows, tools, and methodologies.
• Familiar with Cadence schematic capture, Virtuoso

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
