Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Keyword Research and Strategy

: Conduct in-depth keyword research using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Keyword Planner; identify high-value opportunities and develop content briefs aligned with search intent.

On-Page and Technical SEO

: Optimize website elements including meta tags, headers, URLs, internal links, and site speed; perform technical audits to fix issues like crawl errors, mobile responsiveness, and schema markup implementation.

Content Optimization

: Collaborate with content writers to create SEO-friendly articles, landing pages, and product descriptions; guide on incorporating focus keywords, meta descriptions, and alt text for images.

Off-Page SEO and Link Building

: Execute link-building campaigns through outreach, guest posting, and partnerships; monitor backlink profiles and disavow toxic links to build domain authority.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

: Track SEO metrics using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other tools; generate monthly reports on traffic, rankings, and ROI; conduct competitor analysis to refine strategies.

Trend Monitoring and Compliance

: Stay updated on algorithm changes (e.g., Google's 2025 Helpful Content Update), local/international SEO, and emerging trends like AI-generated search; ensure compliance with SEO best practices and privacy regulations.

Cross-Team Collaboration

: Work with developers for site migrations, content teams for optimization, and sales/marketing for aligning SEO with business goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Education

: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

: 2-4 years in SEO, digital marketing, or a similar role; proven track record of increasing organic traffic by at least 20-30% in previous positions.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics/Search Console); basic HTML/CSS knowledge; experience with CMS like WordPress or Shopify.

Soft Skills

: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication for reporting and collaboration, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.

Certifications (Preferred)

: Google Analytics Individual Qualification, Google Ads, or HubSpot SEO Certification.

Other

: Familiarity with 2025 trends like voice search, E-E-A-T principles, and AI tools for content auditing.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in e-commerce or SaaS SEO. Knowledge of local SEO for multi-location businesses. Portfolio showcasing successful campaigns (e.g., case studies with ranking improvements).
