The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

Overall 8 years of experience in information technology out of which 4 years of experience in Cyber security and 2 years of experience in threat modeling. Provide technical leadership and advise team members on attack and penetration testing.

Ability to work both independently as well as lead a team. Familiarity with one or more threat modeling methodologies (e.g., MITRE, STRIDE, PASTA, LINDDUN, CVSS, Attack Trees, Security Cards, hTMM, Quantitative Threat Modeling Method, VAST Modeling, OCTAVE.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Overall 8 years of experience in information technology out of which 4 years of experience in Cyber security and 2 years of experience in threat modeling.
  • Provide technical leadership and advise team members on attack and penetration testing.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as lead a team.
  • Familiarity with one or more threat modeling methodologies (e.g. MITRE, STRIDE, PASTA, LINDDUN, CVSS, Attack Trees, Security Cards, hTMM, Quantitative Threat Modeling Method, VAST Modeling, OCTAVE).
  • Hands on experience in Mitre Attack Navigator, Mitre Defend.
  • Creating threat modeling using the (Digital Artifact Ontology) Mitre D3FEND.
  • Integrate / Leverage ChatGPT to perform threat modeling.
  • Experience in working Threat Modeling Automation tools and creating / consuming threat libraries.
  • Knowledge and practice of network attack simulation by means of tools such as AttackIQ, Cymulate, Pentera, SafeBreach, Verodin (Mandiant Security Validation)
  • Experience in cybersecurity processes with reference to NIST CSF.
  • Experience and practice about writing professional documents.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified on Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, AWS security speciality and ATT & CK for Cyber Threat Intelligence are preferred.
  • CISSP and CCSP certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Partner with stakeholders to learn and understand a wide variety of threat model subjects.
  • Responsible for building cyber threat models following the defined standards.
  • Responsible for writing and maintaining the documentation relating threat models and technical architecture of analyzed systems.
  • Responsible to execute cyber-attack simulations applying the defined methodologies and practices.
  • Advise and enable informed decisions using clear language, purpose, and fact.
  • Deliver learning opportunities relevant to stakeholders.
  • Define the scope of depth of analysis for threat modelling.
  • Gain a visual understanding of what you are threat modelling.
  • Creating a component diagram with a control flow graph (which shows all possible execution paths in a program).
  • Model the attack possibilities.
  • Identifying assets, security controls, trust zones and threat agents.
  • Identify threats and create a traceability matrix of missing or weak security controls.
  • An adversarial mindset - candidate must be able to put themself in the mind of the attacker.
  • Experience in penetration testing and red team methodologies.
  • Experience using common penetration testing tools using Burpsuite, Metasploit, etc.
  • Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities in a wide array systems in a variety of situations.
Certification
  • Cloud or Container Certifications like CKA, AWS SA, AZ-500, TF Associate.
  • Certified on Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, AWS security speciality and ATT & CK for Cyber Threat Intelligence are preferred.
  • Certification on Operationalizing MITRE ATT & CK, Foundations of Breach and Attack Simulation, Application of ATT & CK Navigator, Extending ATT & CK with ATT & CK Workbench.
  • Cyber Security Certification like CISSP, CCSP, CCSK
Languages
  • Experience with Python, Go, Java, or Ruby.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform, Cloud formation.
  • Experience working with DevOps tools, for Ex. Bitbucket, Jenkins and Artifactory.
  • Experience with Public Cloud platforms, for Ex. AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications, etc.
  • Experience with Container platforms, for Ex. Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS or GKE.
  • Experience in automation using Cloud services, like AWS Lambda or Step Function.
  • Experience creating Splunk use cases (SIEM) and Splunk query language.
