Cloud infrastructure group at Barco is committed to provide business scalability while consolidating cloud resources and enabling a variety of Barco services to share the same infrastructure without compromising each others data. This group utilizes services offered by multiple cloud vendors, AWS Azure, and provides a smooth and consistent experience to all Barco cloud services interms of infrastructure, observability, security and reliability.

IOT & Data engineering group at Barco is one of the core group providing platform for all Barco offered products/appliances to securely connect, transmit, store and enable processing of products emitted metrics/data leading to valuable insights. This platform plays a pivotal role enabling remote monitoring, control and servicabilty of all the connected products/appliances. This platform will power live dashboards giving real-time information on operating conditions of connected devices and enables proactive troubleshooting.

About the Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will lead, design and implement a variety of requirements to support IoT Team with Azure cloud platforms. Your role will also be to ensure that design adequately represent and support the needs of barco products while following industry practices like fault tolerance, availability and observability. This role will also involve doing required POCs, wherever needed, while designing/implementing any new requirement coming our way.

About the Successful Candidate
Work with very energetic IoT platform team to develop new features.
Take full responsibility from product specification, internal software architecture, automated testing up to a releasable feature.

Preferred Skills and Experience
B.Tech./B.E/M.Tech in computer science or equivalent stream.
Desired Exp. Range 5 years to 8 years in embedded application development.
Willing to work as an independent contributor
Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
Excellent team players
Attitude to learn new skill and work on stretched goals

Must have skills
C 11/14/17, Linux, Data structures and Algorithms.
Socket programming, TCP/IP
Industrial experience in leading design and architecture in embedded Linux projects
Strong development, debugging and testing skills
Critical thinker and problem solving skills
Experience with Agile development Methodology (SCRUM)
Continuous Integration through Jenkins.
