We need someone who can collaborate as Product Manager, working with existing engineering teams to design, develop, and deliver software to facilitates the programmatic access to the Procurement & Finance engineering group and Finance platforms and systems capabilities. We are transforming our software delivery practices to bring in greater agility. The VMware IT applications Team is building an industry-leading, highly scalable, and available, multi-tenant SaaS commerce platform. This platform is designed to serve the growing and evolving needs of VMware consumers, partners, and products. As a Member of the Technical Staff, you will be an integral part of this journey. The transformation of an enterprise towards a Subscription and SaaS-based model is a unique opportunity to be a part of truly compelling business problems to be solved What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within your first 6 months

• Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand business needs related to Procurement and Finance business area
• Work with the geographically distributed team comprised of Functional SMEs, and Quality Assurance Engineers
• Be willing to learn about other upstream platforms (data feeding systems) as well as new solutions in this domain
• Must be willing to learn about existing (legacy) IT platforms as well as new market offerings (SaaS) in this domain

After 6 months+

• Success in this role will be measured by your ability to decompose product requirements to detailed technical specifications; iteratively design, develop, configure, test, and deploy enterprise-grade software and be able to grasp existing system capabilities putting you on the path to becoming a subject matter expert.
• Present solutions & provide sprint demos to target customer, process owners, management & relevant stakeholders
• Applies knowledge of back-end technologies as SAP S/4 Hana
• Working with Software Engineering team you will be engaged to develop solutions in backend systems and determine methods and procedures on special assignments.
• Apply your expertise and leadership to supervise and mentorship activities

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

• You will work with multi-functional teams across Business, Development, QA, Product Management, and DevOps organizations.
• Work as product management to review and refine delivery requirements.
• Responsible for assessing, estimating, supporting, and managing the effective and efficient delivery of the functional aspects of SAP S/4 projects and enhancements
• Drive integration design with boundary systems for vendors or customer.
• Functional Experience in Configuration in Modules MM / FI for S/4 HANA. Bonus points for exposure to BRIM, OM/CI, CRM.
• Proficiency of writing functional and technical requirement documents
• Participate in all team scrum ceremonies and change management process
• Clearly articulate system capabilities and propose solutions to new or ongoing business problems
• Work effectively under time-critical deadlines and handle competing priorities
• Identify cumbersome, manual, and Drive business process improvements
• Apply Organizational skills, high attention to detail, and superior time management
• Apply Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? This position reports to the Manager of VMware's Procurement & Finance engineering group an experienced software engineer and manager who joined to team as an engineer in 2016. The team consists of highly competent senior engineers. We focus on iterative development specially for 3rd party applications. You will initially be part an established team that has a wide range of core platform responsibilities, but the expectation is that you will help blaze a new trail for the team and organization in the area of backend for SAP technologies. Procurement & Finance Engineering team is distributed across the globe in India, United states and Costa Rica.
