2. Export/International Market Development
Develop new international customers for API products.
Understand global regulatory requirements, COA needs & documentation flow.
Manage
export sales cycle
from inquiry to shipment.
Attend international exhibitions (CPHI, ARAB HEALTH, etc.) if required.
3. Handling Customer Communication & Negotiation
Send quotes, samples, COA, technical dossiers to clients.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions.
Build strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
4. Export Documentation & Compliance Support
(Mandatory Skill)
Prepare and coordinate:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
Certificate of Origin
Export Contracts
COA, SDS, TDS
Proforma Invoice
Knowledge of
Merchant Exporter documentation
, CT1/LUT, etc.
Coordinate with CHA, shipping lines & transporters.
5. ERP / CRM Pharma Software
Enter and track customer inquiries, quotations, sales orders, dispatch details.
Maintain customer database, pricing history, and sales pipeline.
Follow up on customer accounts, outstanding payments, and export documentation.
6. Finance & Export Account Coordination
Coordinate with accounts team for:
Export payment realization (FIRC/BRC)
Credit limits
Outstanding follow-up
LC Documentation
Ensure smooth export billing and documentation closure.
7. Market Intelligence
Monitor API pricing trends, global demand forecasts, competitor activities.
Track customer requirements and upcoming formulation launches.
Identify new molecules/products with business potential.
8. Business Development
Explore new API products to add in company portfolio.
Develop strategic long-term partnerships with large domestic & overseas customers.
Work with R&D and production teams for new API commercial development.
9. Coordination with Internal Departments
Work closely with Production, QC, QA, Accounts & Dispatch Departments.
Ensure timely dispatches and documentation support.
Maintain accurate sales forecasting and planning.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills (Mandatory)
Proven experience in
API Sales (Domestic + Export)
.
Strong knowledge of export documentation & merchant export procedures.
Understanding of COA, SDS, TDS, chemical properties and regulatory basics.
Experience with ERP/CRM (SAP, Tally ERP, Spectrum ERP, or Pharma ERP).
Strong computer proficiency (Excel, email communication, CRM software).
Soft Skills
Excellent communication & email drafting skills.
Negotiation and closing ability.
Strong relationship-building capability.
Willingness to travel (domestic + international).
Target-driven and self-motivated approach.
Experience Required
Minimum 7 - 10 years
in
Pharma API Sales & Marketing
(Mandatory).
Must have direct experience interacting with:
Formulation companies
Merchant exporters
International API buyers
Experience in handling export accounts & documentation.
Salary Structure
?35,000 - ?1,00,000 per month (depending on experience)
