Job Description

A Senior Solar Sales Executive in Gurugram would be responsible for driving sales of solar energy solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role involves building and maintaining client relationships, developing sales strategies, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts. A strong understanding of solar technology and the solar market is essential, as is the ability to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's overall growth

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Sales:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the solar energy sector. Qualify leads and develop tailored sales strategies to convert them into customers.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process.

Sales Presentations and Proposals:

Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the benefits of solar energy solutions.

Contract Negotiation and Closure:

Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients, ensuring successful sales closures.

Sales Target Achievement:

Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.

Market Research and Analysis:

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and government policies related to solar energy.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales reports.
Requirements:

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field), Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is often preferred.

Experience:

Several years of experience (e.g., 5+ years) in sales, preferably within the solar energy or renewable energy sector. Proven experience in B2B sales is highly desirable.

Technical Knowledge:

A strong understanding of solar energy technologies, including solar panel systems, inverters, and other components. Familiarity with electrical systems, building codes, and relevant regulations.

Sales Skills:

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. The ability to build rapport with clients and close sales effectively.

Business Acumen:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Other:

A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, a strong network within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector, and a passion for renewable energy.
