The Sales Coordinator acts as a key liaison between the field sales team, production unit, quality, and logistics departments. The role ensures smooth order processing, production planning coordination, timely dispatches, and effective communication to meet customer commitments and business objectives in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary coordination point between field sales, production, quality, and dispatch teams
Receive, review, and process sales orders as per customer requirements and company policies
Communicate order specifications, quantities, delivery timelines, and special instructions to the production unit
Coordinate with production planning to ensure timely manufacturing and availability of materials
Track order status and provide regular updates to the sales team and customers
Coordinate product samples, trials, and technical documents (MSDS, COA, specifications)
Ensure accurate documentation for dispatch, invoicing, and compliance requirements
Support sales team with quotations, pricing approvals, and customer data
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely dispatch and delivery
Monitor pending orders, backlogs, and delivery commitments
Assist in resolving order-related issues such as delays, shortages, quality concerns, or customer complaints
Maintain accurate records in ERP/CRM systems and prepare MIS reports
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills
Basic understanding of chemical products, production processes, and quality requirements
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Good problem-solving and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and CRM systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience
2-4 years of experience in sales coordination, order management, or operations in a chemical or manufacturing company

Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong attention to detail and process discipline
