Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and potential hazards.
Ensure workers follow proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage at all times.
Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights, hot work, lifting operations, and electrical work.
B. Compliance & Documentation
Maintain and update all safety registers, checklists, permits, and reports.
Ensure compliance with local safety laws, IS standards, and company HSE guidelines.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
C. Training & Awareness
Conduct toolbox talks (TBT) and safety induction for new workers.
Arrange regular safety awareness programs and emergency drills.
D. Incident Management
Lead incident/accident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
Recommend preventive and corrective actions to avoid future incidents.
Maintain records of near-miss events and ensure timely closure of corrective measures.
E. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Attend HSE meetings and share site safety observations and updates.
Guide workers on safe working practices and risk prevention.
F. Emergency Preparedness
Ensure availability and maintenance of firefighting equipment, first aid kits, safety signages, and emergency evacuation plans.
Conduct emergency response training and mock drills.
Diploma/Degree in Engineering or relevant field (preferred).
Certification in Safety Management (NEBOSH/IOSH/Diploma in Industrial Safety).
Technical Skills
Knowledge of safety standards, risk assessment, and work permit systems.
Understanding of construction processes (civil, mechanical, electrical).
Soft Skills
Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Strong leadership with the ability to enforce safety rules.
