Job Description


Job Title: Assistant Manager HR Location: Bangalore Job Summary: Works closely with management and employees to create highly effective work relationships, maintain a positive work environment, drive retention, and positively influence a culture of performance, accountability, respect, ethics, and integrity. Endorse and support Safety as a core value of the organization Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Business Partner: Partnering with Business Leaders on people, organization and business strategy and align HR process (including employee engagement and organizational capability) to drive Business Goals & Objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Support the & Deliver the Initiatives with Union and Office Bearers, support Productivity Discussions with Actionable plans to Support the Manufacturing Organization, Ensure A Healthy IR / ER culture for business continuity. Experiences in the Industrial discipline process , Legal ,Court Processing , union Negotiation
  • Compliances: Ensure 100% Compliance to all statutory requirement of applicable laws through Monthly &Quarterly review with key stakeholders / vendors / agencies.
  • Change Management: Support Modernization Initiatives and Projects, Drive the Cultural Transformation initiatives in the Organization, Deliver on continuous organizational and productivity improvements., Support action plans of Be Heard survey, Coach / Mentor shop managers on (shop-floor) related people matters.
  • Talent Management: Support & Developing depth and breadth of Management Capability to build Leadership Talent for the future through structured discussions. Provide guidance and input on Business Unit restructures & Workforce planning.
  • Safety: Enable and Support safety procedures to ensure all employees work safely, protect health, and safeguard the environment and leverage on processes like SWA etc. Create a culture where employees adopt a “100% Safe” mindset without compromising on ethics and integrity,
  • Talent Acquisition, Development & Retention: Work closely with Recruiting partners ( RPO model )to ensure the attraction and retention of a diverse, qualified workforce. Discuss strategies to attract key talent (with specific skill set wherever required) and support in their development & retention to provide a competitive edge to Organization.
  • HR Process:- Fundamental understanding the HR SuccessFactors , HR process Routing .
  • Learning & Development: Partner with Business Leaders to implement initiatives which address the skill gaps, Identify Future Capability requirements and support with appropriate initiatives /actions; Identify opportunities for Executive Coaching / Mentoring needs among managers to ensure they are able to drive and influence actions on shop-floor.

Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates:

  • A Graduate with Human Resource / Business background. Post-Graduation in HR would be preferred;
  • Should have 8+ years of work experience in HR (preferably MNC Mfg.)
  • Should have experience in working and managing with Unions. Familiarity with India Employment Acts, Labor Laws, Factory Acts, Shop and Establishment Acts and Compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines, including compensation practices, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Diagnosis, Employee relations, Diversity & Inclusion, Performance Management, Talent Management, Succession Planning process. Understanding of compensation programs, market pricing, incentive plans.
  • Worked in Companies with Focus on Safety, Ethics & Integrity
  • Business Acumen, In-depth knowledge & experience on HR processes & policies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Good analytical skills with conceptual mindset;
  • Fair knowledge and experience of HRIS and leveraging the same
  • Strong leadership, project management, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Minimum Level of Education (for Job)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s Degree
