Position Overview:
You will be contributing to the core strategy of Diebold Nixdorf by testing and qualifying our Point of Sale (POS) Products such as Printer, Displays, µController and OEM Components like HDD, RAM and CPU. In doing so, you will work cross-functionally with other technical / engineering teams to define product quality requirements (quality metrics, CTQ, acceptance criteria). You will develop test concepts to ensure that the hardware and software is functioning properly, is error free and robust, and that the specified standards and requirements of the customers are met. QA project status as well as test progress will you report in regular project meetings. You will develop test methods and tools to automate and harmonize test procedures as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Your focus is on mechanical and electrical engineering and qualification for Displays, µController, Printer and point-of-sales peripherals (e.g. cashdrawer, card reader, barcode reader, etc.).
You are familar with PC technology and its components to perform OEM component qualification and release.
You have basic knowledge on simple programming to execute low level firmware command and able to evaluate logical and physical response.
Defining the product specific quality requirements.
Creating / Managing test plans in Jira and Confluence, which are closely linked to the product specification and aligned with development, product management as well as service.
The planning, definition, coordination and also partial execution of the Engineering Verfication Test (EVT) and Design Verification Test (DVT).
Driving continual process improvements in the evolution of testing procedures and test coverage for future replication.
Required Qualifications:
You have a Master or bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or similar study
Ideally you already have experience in quality assurance and analysis of mechanical, electronic and electro mechanic assemblies
Experience in HW development projects (V-Model / Waterfall) would be an advantage
Quality methods such as FMEA, 8D, 5why and Six Sigma should be familiar to you
You have knowledge in environmental tests (e.g. climatic, shock and vibration, dust, splash)
You are also familiar with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and can interpret and evaluate measurement reports as well as Lab results
High level of analytical thinking and systematic approach
Solid spoken and written English
