Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for CI & SG casting processes.
Ensure the QMS complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, etc.).
Lead audits (internal and external) and ensure non-conformances are resolved effectively.
Quality Control and Testing:
Oversee the execution of in-process quality control inspections to monitor casting quality (e.g., chemical composition, tensile strength, hardness, etc.).
Lead the testing of CI & SG castings to ensure that finished products meet design specifications and customer requirements.
Implement regular product sampling, inspection, and testing procedures to guarantee product consistency and reliability.
Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis:
Lead root cause analysis for any quality issues or production deviations, ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Work closely with the engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement to increase product quality and reduce defects.
Monitor trends in production quality data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development:
Manage, mentor, and develop the QA team, ensuring the team is well-trained in foundry casting techniques, quality standards, and testing procedures.
Establish clear performance goals for the QA team and conduct regular performance reviews.
Promote a culture of quality awareness and ownership across all levels of the organization.
Customer and Supplier Interaction:
Communicate effectively with customers to understand their quality expectations and address any quality concerns.
Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials (e.g., metal alloys) and other inputs meet standards for CI & SG casting.
Handle customer complaints and ensure prompt resolution through investigation and corrective actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all quality processes, inspections, testing, and audit results.
Prepare and present quality reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, quality issues, and areas for improvement.
Maintain records of compliance to industry certifications and standards.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Ensure the QA activities align with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Work to prevent defects caused by environmental factors in the foundry environment (e.g., temperature, humidity, etc.).
Promote safety-conscious behavior in the QA team and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
