ABOUT THE POSITION Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswear's Digital Technology (CDT) group enables an IT infrastructure and applications across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry. The Sr. Quality Engineer uses advanced knowledge and experience of Cloud Automation, Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Delivery (CD), scripting and development languages to take an active role in designing and implementing Automation solutions in a minimally supervised context. This position enables modern Quality and DevOps practices throughout the enterprise. The Sr. Quality Engineer uses advanced knowledge and experience of command line interface (CLI), OS interfaces, environments, scripting and development languages to take an active role in leading and managing software projects, releases, processes and tools in a minimally supervised context. This position requires a keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and mature communication skills working in a collaborative environment across our enterprise. HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Automation: Builds and maintains automation solutions using internal and external tools supporting product teams throughout the enterprise.
  • Technical Design/Process Enablement: Works with architects and contributes in the creation and implementation of Tools that facilitate development (e.g., in C# and .NET framework), QA, business, and release processes. Designs solutions for technical problems facing the team. Documents and shares designs with team members for feedback and can implement complex solutions individually or in partnership with other team members.
  • Pipelines: Creates and maintains build and deployment pipelines supporting a variety of software development teams in the Enterprise.
  • User Management: Oversees Account creation and management for Users in DevOps and Quality Tools (examples: Jira, GitHub, , and Proof of Concept (POC) trials)
  • Releases: Supervises and assists as needed in the timely delivery and releases across Application and Service (e.g., Packages - SFCC, D365, SAP; Services - AWS, Azure and/ AEM) codebases
  • DevOps Enablement: Evangelize modern Quality and DevOps practices by embedding with and building automated solutions with teams throughout the Enterprise.
  • Mentorship: Provides peer level technical guidance for team members. Helps more junior team members learn, grow and contribute to the team.

YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree required Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 5 - 8 years professional experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Automation, Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Delivery (CD), code promotion, scripting and development languages, command line interface (CLI), OS interfaces, and environments
  • Basic understanding of Windows server environment and sys admin concepts
