Job Summary
The Senior QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing quality control systems for CRGO manufacturing and lamination processes. The role ensures compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements while driving continuous improvement and zero-defect manufacturing.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management & Control
Lead quality assurance and quality control activities for CRGO sheets and laminations
Ensure compliance with CRGO grade specifications, customer drawings, and IEC / IS standards
Monitor critical quality parameters such as core loss, burr height, dimensional accuracy, insulation coating damage, and flatness
Develop and enforce SOPs, inspection plans, and quality documentation
Process & Improvement
Drive reduction in rejections, scrap, and customer complaints
Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve process capability
Implement statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement tools
Testing & Inspection
Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections
Ensure calibration and proper use of testing and measuring instruments
Review test reports for core loss, stacking factor, and mechanical properties
Audits & Compliance
Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and customer-specific quality standards
Maintain quality records and regulatory documentation
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination
Lead, mentor, and develop QC and QA teams
Coordinate with production, R&D, procurement, and customers on quality issues
Handle customer complaints, technical discussions, and quality escalations
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in
CRGO electrical steel quality parameters and testing methods
In-depth knowledge of transformer core lamination quality requirements
Experience with SPC, CAPA, FMEA, and continuous improvement tools
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and audit management capabilities
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Metallurgy / Electrical / Mechanical preferred)
Certifications in Quality Management, Six Sigma, or ISO systems preferred
