Senior Quality Engineer
to drive quality assurance and continuous improvement across our design, manufacturing, and installation processes. This role is critical in ensuring all products and projects meet stringent quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
Quality System Management & Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain
the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with relevant international standards (e.g.,
ISO 9001
).
Lead and conduct
internal and external quality audits
of processes and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Establish and monitor key quality metrics (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis.
Ensure all products and installations comply with national and local safety codes, building regulations, and industry-specific standards.
Product & Process Quality Assurance
Work closely with the Design and Engineering teams to establish robust
Design for Quality (DFQ)
and
Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
guidelines.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to quality standards (e.g.,
GD&T
).
Implement and manage quality control processes for incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and final assembly/testing.
Utilize quality tools such as
FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
,
PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
, and
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
to prevent defects and minimize variation.
Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement
Lead the
Non-Conformance Report (NCR)
and
Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA)
processes, conducting thorough root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams.
Oversee and disposition non-conforming material, ensuring timely resolution and prevention of recurrence.
Provide quality-related training and guidance to cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Installation) to promote a company-wide culture of quality.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree
in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years
of progressive experience in Quality Engineering, preferably within a
heavy machinery, automation, material handling, or capital equipment manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge and practical experience with
ISO 9001
and implementing a robust QMS.
Expertise in core quality tools and methodologies (
FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, RCA, CAPA
).
Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications, including
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred
Certification as a
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
or similar professional certification.
Experience with quality assurance for electromechanical systems, particularly those involving motors, PLCs, and structural components.
Experience conducting supplier audits and developing supplier quality agreements.
Prior experience in the parking system, elevator/lift, or vertical transport industry.
