Job Summary:

The Senior QC Engineer ensures that all interior fit-out, furniture, and installation works meet company and client quality standards. The role involves inspecting materials, finishes, joinery, and on-site work execution to maintain consistent quality, adherence to design specifications, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement

quality control procedures

for all interior design and fit-out activities. Conduct

site inspections

at different project stages to verify material quality, workmanship, and adherence to drawings. Review and approve

samples, mock-ups, and shop drawings

for compliance with design and specification. Coordinate with

designers, project engineers, and site teams

to address quality-related issues. Prepare

inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs),

and corrective action plans. Monitor

vendor and subcontractor quality performance

and ensure compliance with QC standards. Ensure

material testing, calibration of tools,

and quality documentation as per project requirements. Conduct

final quality inspections

and handover documentation before project delivery. Provide

training and mentoring

to junior QC engineers and supervisors on quality standards and best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives for product and process quality.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

interior materials, finishes, joinery, and modular furniture systems.

Understanding of

AutoCAD drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with

quality management systems (QMS)

and ISO procedures. Good communication and reporting skills. Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's / Diploma in Mechanical, Interior, or Architectural Engineering.

Minimum

3-8 years of experience

in Quality Control within

interior fit-out or furniture manufacturing

industry. Experience in

retail, commercial, or luxury interior projects

preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Reduction in non-conformance issues. Timely closure of QC observations. Client satisfaction on delivered quality. Compliance with project quality timelines.
