Summarized Purpose:
We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Data). In this role will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of our testing efforts via the design and development of automated testing frameworks and ensure excellence in quality assurance operations, maintaining the highest standards of product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer happiness. This role crucial in safeguarding product quality and patient safety through collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Around 5+ years of experience working in a QA, Automation Frameworks (Preferably in Robot Framework), Data validation in Software Agile environment.
• Experience with CI / CD pipeline via tools like Git, GitHub.
• Expertise in writing SQL queries for data validation and coding languages like Python to write automation scripts.
• Experience with Cloud environment preferably in AWS.
• QA Certification like ISTQB is preferred.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain QA Automation frameworks and tools to ensure data quality across various layers of application.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs and requirements.
• Ensure all test cases are executed and documented according to best practices and company standards.
• Analyse and report on test results, identifying areas for improvement and optimization Continuously improve test coverage and automation scripts to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
• Support and manage QA, UAT ensuring they are stable, consistent, and maintenance of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Find opportunities for continuous improvement in tools, processes, and monitoring to elevate service quality and user experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Expertise in Data validation techniques in ETL Process and hand on experience in writing SQL Scripts to validate data (Preferable in AWS ecosystem)
• Experience with testing frameworks for APIs, databases, and other backend systems.
• Skilled in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript) for automation, monitoring, and environment configuration.
• Familiarity with QA/validation practices for IT systems, including documentation, testing, and change control in a regulated or quality-focused environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a structured and diligent approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional global teams and collaborators.

Must Have skills:

• Automation and scripting - Practical experience using Python and SQL for automation of Data Quality and validation checks.
• Environment and release support for QA - Hands-on experience with integrating test automation into Code Pipeline or cloud-based CI/CD systems to ensure consistent, reliable testing and deployment.
• Working knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes using tools (e.g. JIRA or similar).
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environment.

Good to have skills:

• Exposure to Healthcare/Biotech Industry (Preferred)
• Experience in performance testing and load testing for large data applications, optimizing AWS-based systems for scalability and reliability

India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PST
