About the Role

We are looking for a

Senior Python Developer (SDE-3)

to join our dynamic backend engineering team. This role involves designing and developing scalable backend architectures, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest coding and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in

Python, Django, REST API development, MongoDB, AWS, and Docker

.

This is a

remote position

with the opportunity to work on modern architectures, including serverless and microservice-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership (40%)

Architect and develop scalable backend services using

Django, Flask, FastAPI, and Serverless Framework

. Lead end-to-end delivery from design to deployment. Participate in architecture discussions and prepare technical documentation. Design optimized RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems. Make critical architectural decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.

Database & Cloud (20%)

Design and optimize

MongoDB schemas and queries

(DocumentDB, Atlas). Implement and maintain

AWS Lambda

and serverless components. Work with

Docker

,

AWS ECS

,

S3

, and

SQS/SNS

. Ensure high availability, reliability, and fault-tolerant cloud deployments.

Quality & Standards (15%)

Maintain over

80% code coverage

through comprehensive testing. Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices. Drive improvements in code quality, maintainability, and technical debt reduction.

Mentorship & Collaboration (15%)

Mentor junior developers (SDE-1 & SDE-2). Participate in pair programming and team workshops. Collaborate effectively across product and DevOps teams.

Documentation (10%)

Create and maintain technical specifications, API documentation, and runbooks. Contribute to internal knowledge bases such as Confluence.

Required Skills

6-8 years of experience in

Python backend development

Expertise in

Django, Flask, FastAPI, and Serverless Framework

Strong proficiency with

MongoDB

(aggregation, performance tuning) Experience with

AWS services

- Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, S3, SQS/SNS Proficiency in

RESTful API design

and

microservices architecture

Hands-on with

Docker

and

CI/CD pipelines

(GitHub Actions, Jenkins) Excellent understanding of Git, testing frameworks, and agile workflows

Good to Have

Experience with

Golang

Exposure to

event-driven systems

(Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Knowledge of

SQL databases

Understanding of

Infrastructure as Code

(Terraform)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per month
