, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining quality and cost efficiency. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate suppliers for hardware, particle sheets, and other furniture manufacturing components.
Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery timelines with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Place orders and track deliveries to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
Maintain and update procurement records and vendor database.
Work closely with the production and design teams to understand material requirements.
Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Maintain quality standards by coordinating with quality control teams for material inspection.
Develop long-term supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.
Manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
Qualifications:
Graduate or Postgraduate in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the
office furniture
or allied manufacturing sectors.
Strong understanding of furniture components and raw materials.
Excellent
negotiation and communication skills
.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
