Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and execute daily and weekly production plans based on job orders and deadlines given by PPC team. Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower for smooth production flow. Analyze production workflows and suggest improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste. Takes ownership of the shift's output, rejects, and incidents. Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices on the shop floor. Interpret technical drawings and specifications for fabrication jobs. Provide guidance to operators on Welding machine /techniques / Automatic CNC welding machines & other production related machine. Ensure adherence to process parameters during fitment, welding, and assembly. Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements. Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for production issues. Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines. Coordinate with planning, design, and quality teams to align production with customer requirements. Contribute in daily production meetings and communicate goals and challenges to team members. Ensure optimise utilization of production machine / skilled man power. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and performance metrics. Generate reports on productivity, downtime, rejection rates etc. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in the production area. Promote a safe working culture on the shop floor. Coordinate with planning, design, and quality teams to align production with customer requirements.

Required Knowledge & Abilities

Sound knowledge of sheet metal processes: cutting (laser/punch), bending, welding, powder coating, and assembly. Proficiency in reading technical drawings (AutoCAD/SolidWorks knowledge preferred). Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Hands-on experience with lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, etc.) is a plus. Knowledge of instrumentation & controls will be added advantage. Knowledge of ASME code, PED, welding codes preferred. Ability to lead by example, enforce discipline, but also earn workers' respect. Encourages teamwork and cooperation among workers.

Experience

4-7 years of supervisory experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.

Educational Background

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.

Location

At Factory at Electronic Zone, Mahape, Navi Mumbai Factory/shop floor based. May involve shift work depending on production requirements.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
