Job Summary

The Sr Product Specialist in ISG will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining software solutions using Linux Shell Scripting JCL OmniPlus Omni Script VSAM and Cobol. This position requires a deep understanding of these technologies to ensure the efficient operation of our systems. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 10 years of experience and will work in a hybrid model with no travel required.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software solutions using Linux Shell Scripting JCL OmniPlus Omni Script VSAM and Cobol to ensure system efficiency and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives. Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex issues minimizing downtime and enhancing system performance. Implement best practices in coding and testing to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines. Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization and system responsiveness. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed solutions facilitating knowledge sharing and future reference. Engage in continuous learning and development to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions that drive business success. Qualifications

Possess strong technical skills in Linux Shell Scripting JCL OmniPlus Omni Script VSAM and Cobol with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Demonstrate a deep understanding of software development life cycle and best practices. Experience in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain is a plus providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
