The India Item Data Quality (IDQ) group provides catalog augmentation and correction technologies for the Amazon selling community. Our solutions ensure information in Amazon\'s catalogs is complete, correct, consistent and authoritative enough to give our customers a great shopping experience every time. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to own & drive improvements to critical components of classification, navigation and refinement algorithms.

Key job responsibilities
The role objective is to help customers find products matching their criteria from millions of products listed on marketplace, quickly & easily. The scope span problems across: sourcing missing information using ML/AI, correct existing information by mining signals such as images, text and unstructured data (like search behavior, customer reviews, Q&As), launching new filters and improving accuracy & quality of post-filter results. You will have end to end ownership - from defining the strategy, working with engineering & ML teams to build the solution, and measuring metrics to monitoring progress across the entire Amazon eCommerce pipeline.
The role has high business impact and visibility to leaders at IN and in WW platform teams. You will be responsible for providing updates to senior leadership on a regular cadence. It requires high degree of ownership and bias for action in a field where contributions are widely distributed among various stakeholders and the candidate would need superlative influencing skills to get traction for initiatives. You will also need to be very well internationally connected and should be willing to invest in building networks with business and tech teams globally.

A successful candidate will have an established background in managing programs, scaling systems with large data sets, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong development background with experience in software development cycle, and in delivering large cross-functional projects. You must be comfortable dealing with high ambiguity, be analytical and possess excellent problem-solving skills as some of the problems are unique to our scale.

A day in the life

  • Manage business and technical requirements, design, be responsible for the overall coordination, quality, productivity and will be the primary point of contact for world-wide stakeholders of programs and goals that you lead
  • Collaborate with scientists, economists, and engineers to help deliver scalable ML scaled models, while building mechanisms to find customers insights at scale and build road maps for the projects you own.
  • Be expected to discover, define, and apply scientific, engineering, and business best practices.
  • Author high quality documents (narratives & PR FAQs) to define your vision and secure stakeholder alignment. Own monthly reporting of your initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Influence trade-off decisions with the tech & platform teams regarding features and priorities within the roadmap based on overall relative impact and speed to market
  • Be a visible and vocal supporter of needs of Indian customers in global forums

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Basic knowledge of SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of key customer experience metrics and methodology (e.g., NPS)
- MBA
- Experience defining KPI\'s/SLA\'s used to drive multi-million-dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
