Job Description

Key Role Responsibilities:

Responsible for tuning Machine Subsystems and troubleshooting issues on various engines and vehicles. Execution of various design Validation and tuning plans on engine test cell, vehicle and manual test bench. Analyse the test cell/field data provided by testing engineers/engine customers and provide detailed reports on the issues reported. Participating in design/change reviews, FMEA, DVP&R, OBD discussions. Support global program teams for vehicle tuning activities. Interaction with end customer and occasional travel on need basis.

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience Range - 3 to 5 years Educational Qualification: Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical / Electronics Engineering Overall understanding of engine and/or machine/Vehicle control systems is highly desired. Ability to tune control systems calibration and basic scripting/data analysis. Demonstrable capability in MATLAB, Simulink to develop/maintain/test/debug algorithms involved in development of typical control systems (like lookup tables, filters, PI/D loops, timers/counters) Working level understanding on CAN communication (J1939-Std) is required. Ability to synthesize controls functionality from prior written model/code, ability to debug and comprehend the potential change requests and updating/elicitation of the requirements. Some competence in C code is desired but is not a must. Hands on experience with Calibration / Data acquisition tools like PCAN Explorer, CANalyzer etc will be highly preferred
