Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled

Senior PostgreSQL Developer

to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL development, optimization, and performance tuning. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing our database systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize complex database structures and queries using

PostgreSQL

. Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts using

PL/pgSQL

. Implement performance tuning techniques to ensure high database efficiency and scalability. Monitor, configure, and manage

PostgreSQL replication

and backup processes. Analyze and optimize slow-running queries and database workloads. Ensure database security, data integrity, and high availability. Collaborate with application developers to support efficient database integration. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions. Participate in database architecture planning and improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

2-4 years of hands-on experience working with

PostgreSQL

. Strong knowledge of

advanced SQL

, indexing, query optimization, and schema design. Expertise in

PL/pgSQL

development. Experience with

replication setups

(logical/physical) and backup strategies. Proven experience in

performance tuning

and diagnosing database bottlenecks. Familiarity with database monitoring tools and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure PostgreSQL, etc.). Knowledge of Linux-based system administration. Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices related to database operations.
