About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior PHP Developer

with 5+ years of hands-on experience in

Core PHP

,

WordPress

,

Shopify

, and modern PHP frameworks such as

Laravel

or

CodeIgniter

. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in backend logic, database design, and API integrations, along with a solid understanding of performance optimization and secure coding practices.

You will work closely with our design, frontend, and project management teams to build robust, scalable, and efficient web applications tailored to client and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:1. Web Development

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code to develop responsive and dynamic web applications. Customize and develop

WordPress themes/plugins

and

Shopify templates

based on client requirements. Ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.

2. Backend Logic & Architecture

Develop and implement

server-side logic

, handle

database interactions

,

user authentication

, and

application security

. Build reusable components and libraries for future use. Ensure high availability and performance of developed applications.

3. Framework Utilization

Work extensively with

PHP frameworks

such as

Laravel

or

CodeIgniter

to expedite development while maintaining code quality and scalability. Follow industry best practices and design patterns (MVC, RESTful API design).

4. Database Management

Design and optimize

database schemas

and write complex

SQL queries

. Ensure

data integrity

backup

, and

performance tuning

in MySQL or other relational databases.

5. API Development & Integration

Build and consume

RESTful APIs

for integrating third-party services, payment gateways, and external data sources. Maintain documentation for API endpoints and integrations.

6. Performance Optimization & Maintenance

Identify and fix

performance bottlenecks

in both application code and database queries. Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of web applications. Conduct regular

code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong command over

Core PHP

OOPs concepts

. Expertise in

WordPress

(custom themes, plugins, hooks, and filters) and

Shopify

(Liquid templates, theme customization, and API integration). Proficiency in

frameworks. Strong knowledge of

MySQL
