Description Join GlobalLogic, to be a valid part of the team working on a huge software project for the world-class company providing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules e.g. to the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries. Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules\' firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements. Requirements Minimum of 8 years of strong software engineering experience (Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, etc. preferred in a high-transaction SaaS environment) Performance testing and tuning experience highly desired. Good-to-great understanding of memory and CPU utilization, throughput, latency, etc. Experience with profiling and heap analysis tools Good understanding of Linux, Solaris, Wintel JVMs with strong ability to learn on the job Experience with databases including MS SQL Server and MySQL Practical experience of using any open source performance tools or commercial tools like JMeter, NewRelic etc. Knowledge of performance tools like JProfiler, JProbe, etc. along with familiarity with web load-simulation tools desired Self-motivated, able to learn and research issues independently with a keen eye to details Must be passionate about wanting to make the software performance better i.e. wont-quit-till-I-figure-out-the-root-cause mentality Good analytical and problem solving skills combined with technical writing and communication skills Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM SDLC strongly preferred Preferences Performance Testing Job Responsibilities Essential Job Functions Builds and maintains framework(s) to benchmark application performance across all layers of the application stack Actively engages in driving strategic initiatives, and the related goals, to ensure the most optimal outcome Define and establish new methodologies, frameworks, tools, processes, and best practices particularly around performance testing and contributes both ideas and effort toward continuous improvement for AgileTeams. Assists with researching Performance-related tickets (requires working closely with R&D and Production IT teams Helps setup production performance analysis framework and build-out strategies to load test the system using scripts. Setup the Performance Lab Environment Understand the Scripting language and make modifications as per the Script Understands the development Code using profilers and identifying the Performance bottle necks Configures JMeter and other tools for Performance testing Help in setting up baselines and benchmarks of the Product Creates and maintains functionality of optimized performance scripts for monthly/weekly testing using JMeter. Expanding performance program to other business/departments.
