As a Senior Payroll Executive, you will own and oversee all aspects of payroll/ attendance management, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing while maintaining strict compliance with statutory regulations (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.). You will work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and IT teams to streamline payroll processes and manage continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll cycles (monthly, bi?weekly or weekly) for employees across PAN India, ensuring precision and punctuality.
Maintain and update employee lifecycle/ payroll records, including changes in benefits, statutory contributions, and tax deductions.
Ensure compliance with payroll regulations i.e., PF, ESI, Labour Welfare, Bonus, TDS coordination with CA, State-specific labour laws, etc.
Verify timesheets, attendance records, overtime, and related payroll inputs; reconcile discrepancies before payroll finalization.
Act as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries; resolve grievances and provide payroll guidance in a timely, clear manner.
Generate regular payroll reports and reconcile for HR and Finance decision-making, including cost center breakdowns, overtime trends, and statutory filing status.
Coordinate with external payroll audit team by providing documentation and reconciling discrepancies as required.
Optimize payroll systems and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency; lead or support system upgrades or integrations.
Identify and implement process improvements -- automation, documentation updates, templates, dashboards etc.
Maintain leaves across PAN India.
Manage biometric machine and mobile application.
Qualifications & Experience:
MBA in HR.
Having experience in handling payroll management and compliances of between 5-7 years.
Should have strong proficiency in payroll software (SARAL/HRMS tools).
Should have good command in Advanced Excel.
Should have knowledge of Statutory laws, labour laws and compliances.
Should have knowledge of handling admin.
Should have handled off role and third-party employees.
Deep understanding of statutory payroll requirements and compliance standards across central and state jurisdictions.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized with proven ability to manage high volumes and meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and coordinate across departments.
