Advancing what matters

o 5-10 Yrs experience as Oracle DBA o Knowledge of data management principles, including data modelling, data warehousing, and data security, is important. o Experience with database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring, is required. o Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL is essential for managing and manipulating data within the Oracle database. o Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Unix or Linux) is helpful for automating tasks and managing the database environment. o Experience with database backup and recovery procedures is crucial for data protection and disaster recovery. o A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field is generally preferred. o Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating with other team members and communicating technical information to non-technical sers. o Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: o Oracle certifications, such as Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), are highly regarded and demonstrate expertise in Oracle database technology. Job Responsibility : o Performing routine maintenance tasks, monitoring database performance metrics, and proactively identifying and resolving issues. o Implementing and managing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery capabilities. o Optimizing database performance through fine-tuning parameters, SQL queries, and system configurations. o Implementing and enforcing security measures, managing user access, roles, and permissions to protect sensitive data. o Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues, providing support to developers and other IT personnel. o Monitoring and managing database storage, space utilization, and planning for future growth. o Creating and maintaining documentation for database configurations, procedures, and generating performance reports.
