This position is responsible to lead the strategy, portfolio & operations processes for the GCC Hyderabad organization. These processes are needed for enabling key decisions on where to focus both funding and resources to ensure that IT continues to deliver value to Johnson & Johnson and the businesses that we support. This position will work closely with the Senior Business & IT Leadership team (SLT) and plays a pivotal role in the development of IT strategy and operations globally. The scope of "portfolio" may be applied to all GCC resources, including program/product investment, GCC assets and labor resources.





Primary responsibilities include:





Strategy



Support the SLT in the creation and tracking of the IT strategy, annual goals & objectives and strategic investment value realization. Lead the development and execution of processes that ensure strategies, outcomes, and key performance indicators are reviewed, tracked, measured, and updated. Drive the creation and ongoing process of a Technology Strategy with inputs from SLT / Architecture / Business Leaders. Form and maintain strategic relationships and partnership with relevant leaders, leadership teams, and partners across Business Technology & broader teams. Support processes for defining, capturing, and communicating investment business value realization against business strategies (qualitative & quantitative) Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to others through matrix organizations. Play a key role in Investment Council meetings and helping drive the right view and messaging around the IT Portfolio (both investments and run costs). Drive global end-to-end thinking and approach for large, critical strategic programs. Formulate perspectives on a range of topics pertinent to pharmaceuticals and technology, through research and analysis.

Portfolio Management



Guiding the selection, prioritization and balancing of the portfolio based on business and I/T strategic objectives and financial/resource constraints. Continuous review of the portfolio and recommending reallocation, re-prioritization and optimization of the portfolio based on progress of programs/products, technology obsolescence, and evolving organizational objectives. Providing key partners with timely assessment of projects pending selection, performance metrics and identification/recommendation to address portfolio issues affecting performance. Ensures the completeness and accuracy of portfolio data with product managers and other partners, including Senior Management. Ensure key performance indicators including portfolio value and project financials are driving benefit realization. Drive/facilitate the portfolio governance processes and reviews, inclusive of Business Planning. Collaborate with peers to develop and implement portfolio and capacity planning processes within Pharm and across the sectors. Continually strive to improve and evolve processes and develop organizational proficiencies in project planning and execution, resource management and benefit realization. Support leadership level decision processes by providing timely communication to partners on progress, changes, and portfolio impacts. Develop and deliver communication/change management/ training in support of Portfolio activities. Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) awareness of portfolio and lead in cost reduction activities.
Operations


Drive standards and processes for Program & Product Management Excellence Ensure executive visibility exists for program/product execution health (e.g., strategic program reviews, risk & issue management, Product management. compliance, outcomes delivery). Establish and implement processes for defining, capturing, and communicating measurable business outcomes against technology investment. Establish and maintain "Ways of Working" Methodologies and Tools (Product management, mentor) Drive & facilitate SLT operations for JJIM BT leadership teams (SLT Meetings and Events) Partner with Employee Communications & Engagement to pull-through enterprise communication strategies.

Process Leader Responsibilities



Partner to establish critical global processes with a standardized approach and toolset. Build measures and drive adoption of key processes.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. MBA/post graduation a plus. Minimum 10 years progressive IT work experience is required. Life Science experience preferred. Ability to think strategically and work independently is a must. Strong leadership and management skills required. Ability to understand the global / regional strategic goals and how the portfolio supports them. Solid understanding of portfolio management methodologies and tools, including project selection methods, prioritization processes, and models to support portfolio decision making. Sound financial competence with the ability to reconcile budgets. Must be highly analytical with a focus on business results. Positive relationship and collaboration skills are required. Must be a results-driven with ability to optimally implement a variety of activities concurrently across local and global organizations. Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills and the ability to influence without authority are required. Ability to translate data into information for executive audiences. Proficient in use of standard office automation tools, such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to work optimally with all levels of the organization. Solid understanding of data visualization tools (e.g. QlikView, Tableau). Experience with Business Intelligence/data warehouse processes and tools preferred
This role may require up to 10% travel.
