Directs the activities of a software systems development function, software applications development function, and a software quality assurance function for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What you'll do

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading a two or more teams of engineers working on LAM product software developmentEvaluates the project work scope, plans, tracks and ensures project delivery is on time with high quality from the teamMonitors, coordinates and supervises daily activities of employees in the team.Converts organization objectives into individual goals and drives the team to achieve themResponsible for hiring, training and retaining key talentResponsible for coaching and mentoring the front line managers managing individual teamsResponsible for strategic planning and execution for the teamPlans and coordinates with cross functional teams within Lam India and other regions to set right priorities for projects and tasksActively participates in technical reviews of SW design and development workParticipates in customer issues and escalations to provide quick workarounds and long-term fixesResponsible for the design, development, and maintenance of LAM standards compliant softwareResponsible for maintenance of install base by analysing, debugging and fixing customer issues

Who we're looking for

Years of Experience:

15 + years of experience with 6-8 years of management experience.

Educational qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering

Mandatory Skills:

+ Should have experience in managing and leading a team or multiple teams of engineers (Goal setting, performance reviews...)
+ Hands on experience in project planning tool (MPP), prioritization and conflict resolution
+ Should have worked in planning, executing and tracking of projects in equipment/machine control software development
+ Should have worked on internal and customer issues and escalations
+ Hands on experience of developing equipment/machine control software using object-oriented program
+ Experience with WFE, business impact and customer management
+ Willingness to work in Smalltalk programming language
+ Strong understanding and experience in OOPS concepts
+ Hands on experience in complete project development life cycle
+ Strong analytical, logical, problem solving, trouble shooting skills
+ Excellent written/verbal communication skills and presentation skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
