Job Responsibilities
The Challenge Leap is Lam’s one-of-a-kind global technical skills certification and training program that facilitates assimilation and mobility and supports employee learning and development for the ~5,000 members of the Lam Global Technical Community. The Leap Senior Manager, Engineering Learning & Development, is Leap’s primary interface to the Lam technical community, which is represented by the Leap technical leads from various technical disciplines, including process, product, electrical, mechanical, sytems, software, data analytics, and several others. As such, the Leap Sr. Manager works with the company’s technical leaders on capturing and defining new technical skills requirements for incorporation into Leap’s skills certification and training programs. The successful candidate will be an experienced semiconductor equipment industry professional that is deeply committed to tech talent development and has the ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders to drive near-term program improvements across disciplines with the sustainability of the program. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Engineering, Leap, Learning & Development, in the office of the CTO (OCTO) and is on-site based in Bangalore, India. What You’ll Do • Work with the Leap technical discipline leads on proactively capturing and defining skills requirements in response to emerging technology inflection points, unique roadmap product development challenges, or other engineering processes efficiency improvements initiatives. • Align inputs from the Leap Advisory Board (through the Leap Accountable Executive) with Leap’s frontend requirements prioritization and budgeting activities. • Chair and set the agenda for the Leap technical discipline leads core team meetings. • Oversee the frontend Leap skills and training requirements funnel, priorities, and budget. • Capture, prioritize, and tradeoff atomic requirements for the development of new certification programs and technical courses. • Architect, streamline, and sustain the skills certification programs using Lam’s Learning Management System platform. • Review and provide feedback on new courses content in collaboration with Lam’s subject matter experts. • Analyze and implement corrective actions resulting from Leap’s key performance indicators (KPIs) trends and surveys. • Implement continuous improvement process (CIP) initiatives as required, including defining new KPIs as needed. • Ensure the quality control of the entire Leap processes • Ensure currency and obsolescence of Leap certification programs and courses • Work closely with the Leap Program Manager in streamlining a smooth requirements-to-development interface for programs certifications and courses, and data collection and analysis. • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed • Broad knowledge and experience in various Lam technical disciplines (e.g., process, electrical, software, systems, etc.) • Strong and self-driven leadership background with a successful track record holding middle to senior management roles in the semiconductor industry. • Ability to communicate effectively with senior-level technical leaders, who represent Lam’s diverse technical community. • Must be available to periodically hold virtual meetings which are aligned with Pacific Time zone schedules. • Must be able to collaborate effectively, cross-functions, cross-BU, and external suppliers; enable and drive collaboration across BUs in building content and align to business objectives • Execution: must be able to hold people accountable for results and deliver against commitments • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; technical and non technical across manager-to director levels of the organization, internally and externally • Innovate: be able to look for creative ways to streamline operations, remove redundancy, and improve business process efficiency. • Minimum of 7 years experience and a Masters or PhD in technical discipline. (Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical engineering) as well as relevant learning and development experience.
