Job Title: Senior MEP Engineer

1. Role Summary

The Senior MEP Engineer, based in Navi Mumbai, will be the technical lead responsible for the comprehensive design review, coordination, execution, and commissioning of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for large-scale commercial or residential projects in the region. The role requires expert knowledge of Indian and local codes (NMMC, CIDCO) and a proven track record of managing site execution teams and specialized subcontractors.

2. Key Responsibilities

Design Compliance & Coordination

Code Adherence: Ensure all MEP designs (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical Distribution, Low Voltage, Plumbing) strictly comply with Indian National Building Code (NBC), local Maharashtra Fire Safety Regulations, and specific Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) requirements.

Clash Detection: Lead detailed coordination meetings with structural and architectural teams, utilizing BIM/CAD platforms for proactive clash detection and resolution prior to site work.

Technical Review: Validate all technical calculations, equipment selection (e.g., Chillers, HT/LT Panels, Pumps), and material submittals (MARs) against project

specifications and standards.

Site Execution & Project Management

Installation Oversight: Directly supervise and manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring installations meet the highest quality standards and are executed according to the approved schedule and Budget.

T&C Management: Develop and oversee the rigorous Testing & Commissioning (T&C) schedule for all MEP systems (e.g., fire suppression system pressure testing, electrical load balancing, HVAC performance testing).

Progress Reporting: Generate detailed daily and weekly progress reports, identifying potential risks, schedule deviations, and resource constraints to the Project Manager.

Cost Control: Monitor the consumption of materials and track variations (V.O.) against the approved Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and budget to prevent cost overruns in

MEP packages.

Documentation & Safety

Maintain comprehensive records of site instructions, RFI's (Requests for Information), as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and T&C reports for final handover documentation.

Enforce all site safety protocols and procedures, specifically for high-risk MEP activities like electrical wiring and elevated duct installations.

3. Required Qualifications

Education: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).

Experience: 5 to 10 years experience in site execution and project management of integrated MEP systems, preferably on projects in the Mumbai/Navi Mumbai metropolitan region.

Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of HVAC (VRF/Chilled Water), Fire Fighting Systems, and Electrical HT/LT distribution. Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong practical understanding of site constraints.

Local Code Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant local statutory requirements for fire, water, and power connection/commissioning in Navi Mumbai.
