Senior Medical Coder
Edifecs is looking for a Lead- medical Coding in US healthcare (Risk Adjustment) domain who will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver coding projects for Edifecs's customers.
What you will do:

• Manage high-quality, timely coding of diagnoses and procedures for inpatient and outpatient accounts, using ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS classification systems
• Work closely with Onshore and customer on the coding projects and its deliverable
• Serves as a resource and subject matter expert to other coding staff.
• Comply with all legal requirements regarding coding procedures and practices.
• Ensure the service levels (SLA) agreed with the client are met.
• Preparing manuals, training kits and other documentation for the team.
• Develop and execute policies and procedures that affect immediate operations and may also have organization-wide impact
• Analyze issues in which the situation or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
• Implement strategic policies by selecting methods and evaluation criteria for accurate results

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in health information systems or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in handling Medical Coding practices.

• Working experience with a reputed Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) / Transformation (BPT) organization

• Professional credential for medical practices, such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder)

• Soft Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports and related documents and to maintain working relationships with physicians and other staff.

• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
