Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and result-oriented Senior Marketing Officer to lead
marketing initiatives and drive revenue in the Chennai market. The ideal candidate will have
3-5 years of relevant experience in a media house, with strong relationships across key
advertising agencies and corporate clients. This role demands strategic thinking, market
intelligence, and hands-on execution ability.
Key Responsibilities
Drive ad sales and marketing initiatives to grow revenue for The New Indian Express
in the Chennai market
Build and nurture strong relationships with advertising agencies and direct clients
Identify new business opportunities and develop custom advertising and content solutions
Plan and execute client presentations, brand partnerships, events, and promotional campaigns
Coordinate with editorial, creative, and circulation teams to deliver value-added client solutions
Track competitor activity and market trends to identify areas of opportunity
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets while maintaining high client satisfaction
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in sales/marketing roles within a media house (print, digital,
radio, or television)
Proven track record in handling agency networks and corporate clients
Strong understanding of the Chennai advertising ecosystem and media landscape
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
A degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred
