Key job responsibilities

The leaders should be entrepreneurial in nature and excited to work in a "green field", wear many hats and work in a highly collaborative environment that is more startup than big company.



The leader should be dedicated to innovating end-to-end shopping experiences for sub same day delivery experience.


Leader's role will be instrumental in designing and strategizing multiple shopping products and operations, all with a relentless focus on rapid execution.


This is a high-profile position, requiring building of high performing tech teams, strategic thinking in terms of architecture and decoupling, influence across multiple orgs, businesses, and VP level engagement. Deeply understanding customer needs is paramount as we envision a shopping experience across online and in-store retail that's not only seamless but also delightfully fast.

You have a track record of exceptional performance and love working in a dynamic, ambiguous, fast-paced environment in which managing multiple projects and priorities is the norm.


You dive deep and like the complexity of systems but drive simple, innovative solutions for customer-facing experiences.


You have excellent judgment and high standards.


You are an articulate, persuasive communicator and a good writer. People trust and respect you and they like to work with you. You are eager to pioneer new experiences, putting the customer first and challenging current experiences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of engineering experience 5+ years of engineering team management experience 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience Experience partnering with product or program management teams Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
