Job Description


Summary

Lead a team of employees focused on Power Applications development in EMS area.
Hire the right talent in accordance with the global requirements in EMS area and mange the team for the successful delivery of work module from HTC.
Closely work with global stake holders including manager/SMEs from different regions to make sure that the team is effectively utilized
Identify and respond to professional growth needs for all team members and ensure they have the proper training to execute team deliverables.
Foster a work culture at all levels that is positive, collaborative, respectful, innovative, dynamic, with high integrity, and capable of driving positive change over sustained periods of time.
Contribute towards technical aspects including creation of functional software specifications, design, development and testing etc in the areas of expertise.
Support/facilitate pre-sales activities in the areas of expertise.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Master\'s / Doctorate degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in Energy Management Systems or related areas (specifically application software development/deployment for Network Applications such as Power flow Analysis, State Estimator or Training Simulator) out of which at least 4+ years of experience in people management / a role which had opportunities/ requirements to interact multiple stake holders.
  • Good knowledge on the modelling of power systems in the context of EMS projects.
  • Good knowledge of Transmission power applications usage by power utility customers.
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to write professional and technical reports and procedures.
  • Ability to make formal and informal presentation to technical and non-technical staff and customers. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Desired Characteristics
  • Good programming skills and proven experience in C++ or other related languages.
  • Knowledge on scripting languages such as Python and/or Powershell and any RDBMS.

  • Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry.
  • Have a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run large-scale applications.
  • Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
