Responsibilities * International Marketing & Business Development
Identify and develop new international market opportunities and manage export enquiries for business expansion, including new customers, new geographies, and new product introductions.
b. Drive export business development initiatives, including overseas customer visits, participation in international trade fairs, conferences, and managing product/market presentations. c. Build and manage a strong pipeline of export customers and channel partners/distributors. d. Track global market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments impacting exports. * Export Sales Planning & Strategy
Develop and implement annual export sales and marketing plans (geography-wise, customer-wise, and product-wise) to improve contribution margins and realizations; track performance on a month-on-month basis.
b. Prepare country-wise and customer-wise contribution margin analysis and review monthly. c. Forecast export demand and align with production and dispatch planning. * Sales & International Customer Relations
Lead international client negotiations, contract management, Incoterms finalization, and export sales order (SO) management.
b. Ensure all international enquiries are evaluated and responded to in a timely and professional manner. c. Manage existing overseas customers and ensure all export orders are serviced within committed timelines. d. Drive customer retention, repeat business, and long-term strategic partnerships. e. Handle and resolve all export customer-related issues, claims, and complaints. f. Collect customer feedback on a regular basis and work towards improving BFCL's supplier rating with global customers. * Trading & Global Sourcing Activities
Prepare annual / quarterly / monthly business plans for international trading activities.
b. Identify potential overseas buyers and secure trading orders. c. Develop and manage international agents, distributors, and sourcing partners. d. Procure traded products at the best possible price and margin to maximize profitability. e. Ensure adherence to committed delivery schedules through effective sourcing and logistics planning. * End-to-End Export Operations
Prepare quarterly export production and dispatch plans and update monthly in coordination with PPC and operations.
b. Ensure end-to-end export logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, port operations, and delivery to customer destinations at optimal cost. c. Ensure accurate and timely export documentation (Invoice, Packing List, COO, BL/AWB, LC compliance, etc.). d. Monitor export incentives, duty drawback, RoDTEP, and other applicable export benefits. e. Ensure timely payment realization as per LC / credit terms and manage account settlements for long-term export contracts and channel partners. * Channel Partner & Distributor Management
Appoint, manage, and evaluate overseas distributors, agents, and channel partners.
b. Monitor stock levels, sales, and profitability at overseas warehouses or distributor locations (where applicable). c. Settle accounts related to overseas warehouse sales and channel partner operations. * New Business Initiatives
Explore new international business ideas and present them to BFCL with market mapping and business potential.
b. Prepare detailed business proposals with technical and commercial feasibility for shortlisted ideas. c. Evaluate opportunities for new export products, value-added offerings, and strategic alliances. * Training & Team Development Conduct on-the-job training for team members and provide continuous guidance related to export marketing, documentation, and customer management. * Manpower Management
Ensure smooth coordination with internal stakeholders (Production, PPC, Finance, Logistics) for meeting export commitments.
b. Adhere to manning norms approved by management and develop manpower optimization plans. c. Lead recruitment against approved vacancies in a timely manner. d. Handle grievance and conflict cases and ensure timely resolution. e. Drive reduction in attrition and absenteeism within the team. * MIS & Reporting
Prepare and analyze export sales MIS, country-wise performance reports, pipeline status, and contribution margin reports.
b. Present reports to management on a regular basis and initiate corrective actions against deviations. Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of international marketing, export sales, and global business development.
Sound understanding of Incoterms, export documentation, LC terms, and customs procedures.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and financial acumen for margin and pricing decisions.
Ability to manage multiple international stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP / SAP preferred.
Work Experience & Qualification
Minimum 10+ years of experience in international sales, export marketing, or global business development.
Experience in metals, foundry, manufacturing, or industrial products preferred.
Graduate in Engineering / Commerce; MBA (International Business / Marketing) preferred.
