Responsibility -System Requirement Definition -OBC /DCDC / Bi Directional Converter Development
Key Position within Power Converter group as development engieer
Dimensions of the position
-Technical Specification creation (RFI/RFQ),Supplier Evaluation , Define Function specific requirements and Logics for Vehicle Level operation(FDD). Work with internal and external stake holders to achieve timely gate way deliverables during development of Power Converter solutions

Education Post Graduate /Graduation in Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering Skills/ Competencies
1.High Voltage System Requirements - Hardware , Interfaces , ,Environmental , Functional, Safety
2.Power converters - Power stages and Control Design Criteria
3.Knowledge of CAN protocol (CAN1.0) and UDS 14229
4.Simulation Techniques for Power Converter -functional simulations
5.Trouble shooting techniques -8D ,PDCA , QC Tools
6.Validations standards and regulatory requirements for power converters
7.Functional Safety Requirements - Implementations and validations
8.EV Power System troubleshooting technique
9.Handling Design Quality , Field Quality issues 10.
Relevant Experience :
1.4-7 years' experience in Power Converter Development
2.New Product Development Process Know how
3.Functional Safety requirements implementation
4.CAN and UDS tool handling

Key Responsibilities:
S.N.Key Responsibility & Key Tasks Measures
1 New Product Development

  • Define RFI and RFQ as system level requirements for Power Converter systems
  • Supplier Conformances and evaluations against RFI /RFQ Requirements
  • Design Guidelines / Design simulations and recommendations of critical power components selections
  • Define FDD for System level control requirements
  • Define and Sign off DFMEA , DVP , CDS , TRSO Document with stake holders
  • Define and sign off CAN Matrix , UDS Requirements with supplier
  • Define and Sign off Development Plan , Sample Definitions and SW Release plan
  • Issue resolutions (HW+SW) during development related to bench / system level / Proto vehicle level
  • 4D Document creations and Sign of assembly serviceability processes
  • Generate ECU Specific Diagnostics Specification for EOL /Service /Flash tools development
  • TGW /TGR Creations
  • Design Document and SW Releases maintenance
  • Timely completion of project activities as per plan
  • Timely scheduling of project reviews
2.NPI Process
  • Track the deliverable success criteria for upcoming milestones at the project level and highlight issues if any.
  • Collate data for Risk assessment and ensure timely escalation through review governance process
  • Collate data to monitor the progress against milestone criteria as well as PAT
  • Organize reviews to debottleneck achievement of targets and ensure identified actions are followed through. . PDSR
  • Timely documentation of project data/ status/ information
