: 15+ years in Manufacturing / Operations (Automotive / Engineering Industry preferred)
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the Rudrapur plant,ensuring smooth production, quality compliance, cost efficiency, and workforce administration.
This role combines the responsibilities of a Plant Manager also while carrying the title of Operations Manager, with direct accountability for production output, safety, quality, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operations
Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities to meet customer demand.
Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, and material resources.
Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and implement continuous improvements.
Drive adherence to production plans while minimizing downtime and rework.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all parts comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, FPY, Customer Complaints) and lead corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and other industry standards.
Coordinate with quality teams for PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and other documentation.
3. Plant Administration & Leadership
Supervise and guide production, quality, and maintenance teams.
Maintain workforce discipline, attendance, and compliance with HR policies.
Handle inter-departmental coordination (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Dispatch).
Conduct regular reviews, audits, and shop-floor meetings.
4. Maintenance & Safety
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance schedules are followed.
Reduce machine breakdowns through root cause analysis and reliability improvement.
Implement plant safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
Drive Zero Accident culture in the plant.
5. Cost Control & Business Excellence
Optimize raw material usage and reduce scrap/rejections.
Control overhead costs while maintaining production efficiency.
Implement Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT) to improve efficiency.
Support top management in budgeting, cost analysis, and productivity improvement.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education: B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
Experience: 15+ years in manufacturing operations with strong exposure to production& quality.
Technical Knowledge:
Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings.
Hands-on knowledge of sheet metal / fabrication / welding processes.
Familiar with ERP systems, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM.
Leadership Skills: Strong people management, administrative ability, and cross-functional coordination.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
