• Deliver low level platform designs for all UC network platforms according to the agreed plan, working effectively with other teams as required.
• Own and deliver the UC Network baseline and lifecycle.
• Own and deliver the projects required to maintain platform integrity.
• Manage resources within the team to ensure committed delivery dates and budgets are achieved.
• Provide support to UC 3rd line team to solve complex problems.
• Provide technical support to TES teams for on-boarding issues and problems, including updating/reviewing documentation as required.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in design and deployment of large computing and networking infrastructure with knowledge in:

oCISCO 9K, 7K, 2K, 1K, Catalyst 3x50
oCISCO ASA, Juniper FW
oCISCO HCS
oCISCO Unified Computing network components (e.g DCNM, Fabric Interconnect)
oISCO routers
oIP routing protocols: BGP, OSPF
oLoad balancers (desirable)
oSDN/NFV (desirable)
oCloud platforms (Amazon AWS, Google CPS, Microsoft Azzure) (desirable)

• System administration expertise desirable: Windows Servers, RedHat Enterprise.
• Significant experience in network designs and solutions for cloud computing applications and platforms.
• Significant experience in router operating systems such as iOS.
• Effective at communicating technical information both in detail to fellow engineers and also to summarise at a high-level and put into business/financial context for less technical senior managers
• Ability to work to deadlines
